One of the best views in Santa Fe is from The Cross of the Martyrs. This original cross, still standing, was erected in 1920 on Paseo de la Loma in 1920..  This one, sitting above Paseo de Peralta, was build in 1977. The cross commemorates 21 Franciscan monks who were slain during the Pueblo Revolt of 1680. I was intrigued by the shadows of the railing onto the path to the monument. The photo below is of the shadow cast by the cross itself.
