Photo of the week: Winter on the Pecos River

Santa Fe photos

Winter on the Pecos River Photo/Steve Collins

For someone who likes taking Santa Fe photos, it’s convenient that the Pecos Wilderness  is nearby. The Pecos River originates in the southern Sangre De Cristo Mountains, flowing south through New Mexico to Texas. This photo was taken on a recent mid-winter day. The river is beginning to wake up from its winter slumber.

I am about to do upload a photograph about another famous U.S. river: the Suwanee River. Thanks for putting me in the mood.
