The Hour Has Arrived is a street art project taking place during Santa Fe Indian Market Week. During the week leading up to this year’s Santa Fe Indian Market a number of Native American street artists from the N8VPA (Native Public Art) team are working on mural projects in and around Santa Fe. Friday, artists Jaque Fragua (Jemez Pueblo) and Watermelon 7 (Isleta Pueblo) kicked the week off with a mural on the side of a building at Estrella del Norte Vineyard in Nambe.

Hi Steve,
It is a great art piece! Santa Fe Indian Market must be a memorable experience.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Melissa! Glad you enjoyed it. Indian Market is an amazing experience. The street art represented by Jaque Fragua and compatriots represents an exciting move forward as well.
Billie and Steve, it was a pleasure having you with us for the unveiling of the Native Public Art wall Jaque Fragua and Watermelon7. We encourage folks to come by and see their masterpiece and enjoy a glass of wine in the garden patio. Best to you always! Salud y gracias!
We had a wonderful time. We’ll try to get by this week and see what other murals the NAVPA team creates at the Vineyard.
How cool! I’m going to have to show this to Justin, he loves street art, and is a muralist/graffiti artist himself… that was one of the things that we both LOVED about living in Albuquerque, all the art and murals everywhere. I don’t think there’s anywhere else quite like it! This one is beautiful.

Santa Fe really didn’t have any mural art- there’s one I know of on Guadalupe, but that’s pretty much it. That will be remedied after this week. We’ll go out and get photos and will do a post on the murals- hopefull on Thursday.
