Situated on the banks of the Rio Grande near Alcalde, NM, about 45 minutes north of Santa Fe, is the 140 acre Los Luceros. Mary Cabot Wheelwright, co-founder (with Hosteen Klah) of the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, lived on this 1870s Territorial Hacienda from 1923 to 1958. The colorful door pictured is an entrance to the garage.
