Photo of the Week: Almost full moon over Santa Fe

This Photo of the Week was taken just past the June 2011 full moon. The wonderful colors are from the smoke from forest fires, mostly the huge Wallow Fire in eastern Arizona.

    This shot reminds me of an impressionist painting. Really like how the black give way to the sunset.

    Wow, that is one powerfully bright moon. It looks like the sun. Nice colors.

      Hi, Ted - I spent a lot of time and and took a lot of shots to get that picture. I need a tripod and a remote to get the picture I really want. There was a lot of light. The main thing is it’s a learning process. That’s what keeps it interesting…
