Our 5 favorite posts of 2012

Fridays are when we usually post our Photo of the Week. Over the course of the year we take lots of pictures.  This week as part of our 2012 round-up we offer our 5 favorites from or the year.

If you read Santa Fe Travelers, you probably know we love Ireland. Here is Dromberg Stone Circle in County Cork,  quiet place where you can back in time. Though we didn’t get to Ireland this year, the photo reminded us of what we love about being there, the beauty of the ancient spirituality.

Crossing Kebler Pass in the Colorado Rockies, from Crested Butte to Paonia we discovered this bucolic aspen grove. There were no other cars on the dirt road.It was totally peaceful in this verdant glen.

Closer to home and in the opposite season, we visited the headwaters of the Pecos River,  in the Pecos Wilderness, a beautiful place to get outdoors any time of the year.

We love stopping by Estrella del Norte Vinyard on the High Road to Taos.

We were lucky to get a glimpse of the colorful changing room at the Cultural Center at Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm in Albuquerque. In the 1930s, when the community used the first public pool in the city, women bathers  changed here.
