While driving in Albuquerque’s Nob Hill neighborhood, I saw this 1942 Chevy pickup truck which had been lovingly restored to better-than-new condition. Because of World War II this truck had a short production run for civilian sales.  Civilian production ceased from 1942 through 1945. At the end of the war this model was again produced on a limited basis. In 1947, a completely new model was introduced. While the 1942 Chevy pickup was basically a reworking of the 1941 design, the later model had a chrome grill, a more powerful engine and a longer wheelbase.

Do you love old vehicles? There are more to look at in this post from Around the World in Eighty Years.
