Old houses in Santa Fe have interesting views. Thiswindow in historic Donaciano Vigil House in Santa Fe faces the home’s courtyard that has entertained people since the 1830s. The deep windows attest to the adobe house’s age. The cool darkness inside contrasts with the bright warmth outside. Santa Fe is truly a place where the old co-exists with the new. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places.

We were able to visit the house on Historic Santa Fe Foundation’s 2011 Mother’s Day House Tour.

It’s a wonderful house. The Foundation rents their houses out to artists and they are always interesting to visit. I love that tour!
