Summer in Colorado is a special time. The snow is all gone except for a glimpse now and then of patches on the rocky tors. The aspens are all leafed out and make a whispering sound when the wind blows, wildflowers are in bloom, animals are out and about and the Rocky Mountain views are spectacular. We stopped to take this photo of a stand of aspens while driving over the mostly dirt road over Kebler Pass between Crested Butte and Paonia 0n our way to Aspen.

Wow, lovely photo! The brilliant green and stark white of the tree trunks really complement one another.
